Master of Business Administration in Healthcare Administration

The Master of Business Administration in Healthcare Administration curriculum prepares students with the skills and knowledge to expand their job responsibility and advance to administrative roles. Coursework is offered completely online or as a combined program with classes meeting on campus one evening per week. Most part time students complete the program in a little as two years. Full time students can complete the program in as little as one year. The MBA program requires completion of 24 core business courses, including Management in a Changing World, Accounting, Financial Management, Organizational Behavior, Marketing, Leadership and Change, Integrating Faith and Business and Strategic Decision Making. The Healthcare Administration emphasis requires 12 credits of coursework from the following: Human Resources Management, Economics, Finance, Healthcare Administration, or Nonprofit Leadership.

Master of Science in Nursing with Nurse Educator Emphasis

The curriculum for the Master of Science in Nursing with a concentration in Nurse Educator prepares students with the skills and knowledge required to enter nursing-education roles in setting including:

The MSN program is offered completely online for the Nurse Educator emphasis. Master of Science in Nursing/Master of Business Administration

The Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) and Master of Business Administration in Healthcare Administration dual degree program in offered in conjunction with the Department of Business and the School of Nursing. Curriculum for the dual degree program provides BSN’s with the skills and knowledge in Healthcare leadership, Nursing and Business. The emphasis of the dual program is Christ Centered for leadership, management and for research in the healthcare sector. Graduates of the program will enter careers influencing Healthcare policy and the future of nursing. Students must be accepted into both the School of Nursing and the School of Business to enter the program. Most students complete coursework for one degree at a time. Nursing courses meet on Tuesdays and MBA Courses meet one evening per week. Students can elect to pursue their education in a part time or full time format depending on their availability. Both degrees are available completely online, on campus or in a combination of both formats.

Founded in 1915 as Tennessee Polytechnic Institute, Tennessee Technological University (known as Tennessee Tech) is a coed public university located in Cookeville, Tennessee. The university is located approximately 70 miles east of Nashville. Tennessee Tech current enrollment is more than 10,00 students on the 235 acre main campus. Master of Professional Studies with Healthcare Administration

The 33-credit Master of Professional Studies (MPS) in Healthcare Administration provides students with a study of the relationship between health care, information technology and leadership. Coursework for the program prepares graduates for entering challenging and rewarding careers enhancing the quality of care, reducing health care costs, and addressing health care issues. The program also contains a certification in Healthcare Informatics. Whitson-Hester School of Nursing

Tennessee Technological University was established in 1915 and began on the campus that had belonged to Dixie College, a private institution founded in 1911. Tennessee Technological University’s mission (as stated by the university) is “providing leadership and outstanding programs in engineering, the sciences, and related areas to benefit the people of Tennessee and the nation.” The university provides programs in the arts and sciences, business, education, agriculture and human ecology, nursing, music, art, and interdisciplinary studies. Nursing Informatics Certificate Program

The 23 credit Nursing Informatics Certificate program provides master’s level nurses training to assume careers in healthcare informatics. Curriculum for the program provides the core foundation in information management applicable to varied healthcare settings. Upon completion of the certificate program, master’s level nurses are prepared to sit for the national certification exam in nursing informatics. The School of Nursing

Fogelman College of Business and Economics

Founded in 1912, the University of Memphis is a public university that is located in Memphis Tennessee. It has a current undergraduate enrollment of more than 17,000 students on the 1600-acre main campus.
