Studying healthcare management at West Virginia University is possible in a handful of bachelor’s degree programs, as well as a graduate degree program and a certificate option. West Virginia University was established in 1867 as the Agricultural College of West Virginia and is located in Morgantown, West Virginia. Admissions requirements for first-year students who want to attend West Virginia University and are WV residents include having evidence of having taken certain classes in high school, as well as having a cumulative GPA of 2.0 and an ACT score of 19 or an SAT score of 990. Applicants from outside the state must have a 2.5 GPA and receive a 21 on the ACT or 1060 on the SAT. Students don’t need to complete the writing portion of the SAT to gain entry into the university.

Some programs require that students achieve higher scores on certain standardized tests or for their GPAs. For example, entrants to the Benjamin M. Statler College of Engineering and Mineral Resources requires a GPA between 2.50 and 3.00 with the required score dependant on the engineering track a student chooses.

Tuition and Financial Aid

Students who enroll at West Virginia University for undergraduate programs will pay approximately $8,976 for in-state tuition or $25,320 for out-of-state tuition. Room and board expenses are estimated to cost $10,284. Students may pay different rates when they enroll in certain programs or when they attend classes on different campuses. However, the per-credit rate for tuition is $319 for residents and $1,000 for non-residents.

Students will also need to pay some university fees, as well as some costs related to their program of study. For graduate students, the costs of tuition are related to the program of study with basic university tuition costing a standard amount and the program tuition adding a variable amount. For the base tuition, however, graduate residents will pay $490 per credit, and non-residents will pay $1,380.
