Healthcare Management at the University of Minnesota Crookston

Students may enroll in the Bachelor of Science in Health Management on the Crookston campus at the University of Minnesota Crookston, or they may earn their degree through online study. In addition to the major, students may also choose an online minor in health management. Graduates of the healthcare management program may find work in settings like community-based health agencies, health insurance companies, government agencies, hospitals, or medical clinics.

Students may obtain licensure as a Nursing Home Administrator in the State of Minnesota after graduating with their Bachelor of Science in Health Management. The degree program is approved by the Board of Examiners for Nursing Home Administrators and is also approved by the National Association of Long-Term Care Administrator Boards. About the University of Minnesota Crookston

The University of Minnesota Crookston is a small university within the University of Minnesota System and has around 1,800 students attending. The school was established in 1966, and its official colors are gold and maroon. Students are nicknamed the Golden Eagles. The Crookston, Minnesota campus covers 108 acres and is located in the northern part of the community.

A thriving agricultural research farm that was established in 1895 by the Minnesota legislature operated for many years until the Northwest School of Agriculture was built in Crookston. A technical institute and the precursor to the modern university was added to the property in the early 1960s, and that institution would eventually become the University of Minnesota Technical College.

The modern university name would come in 1988, and the school would start offering bachelor’s degrees by 1993.
