Healthcare Management at Regent University

Future healthcare management professionals can choose from six programs at Regent University. Programs include the Bachelor of Science in Professional Studies – Healthcare Management or the Master of Business Administration (MBA) – Healthcare Management. Within the programs, students will learn about key issues like healthcare legislation, medical malpractice, corporate liability, and patient rights.

Other programs related to healthcare management at the university include the Master of Arts in Organizational Leadership – Healthcare Management, the Bachelor of Science in Professional Studies – Nursing Home Administration, and the Master of Science in Nursing – Nurse Leadership & Management. The university also offers a healthcare leadership doctorate that offers students the chance to become a published author in healthcare publications.

Students who choose the undergraduate program can enroll on campus or online, and students with previous college experience may be eligible to transfer credits into the program. Earning the degree means completing at least 120 credit hours, and students will complete classes within the university’s approved degree plan. Students will take several general education courses in areas like Christianity, critical thinking, and mathematics, as well as courses focused on their area of study.

Overall, students will take 21 hours in healthcare management courses, as well as have the opportunity to choose 26 hours of electives. About Regent University

Regent University is a private university affiliated with Christianity that was founded by televangelist Pat Robertson in the 1970s. Once known as the Christian Broadcasting Network University, the school would change its name to Regent University in 1990. The university instructs students from its suburban campus in Virginia Beach, and it also offers online programs on some subjects. The university’s official colors are blue and green, and sports teams play as the Royals.

Around 8,600 students attend the university, which considers itself an interdenominational Evangelical institution. The university once had a satellite campus in Alexandria, Virginia, but it sold that location in 2008. Programs at Regent University are delivered from within eight academic schools, and students can pursue associate, bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral degree programs. Regent University Accreditation Details

Regional accreditation for Regent University has been awarded by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges, which allows the university to award college degrees. Tuition and Financial Aid

Regent University indicates that its tuition rate is half of the average amount for private universities in the United States. Financial aid is available to students enrolled in on-campus study, as well as students pursuing online degrees. Tuition for on-campus study where students enroll in 12 to 18 credit hours is $8,610. The rate for part-time study is $605 per credit, and students who enroll in more than 18 credits in a semester will pay $574 for each credit over 18.

The estimate for books and supplies ranges from $1,000 to $1,500, and students will pay an estimated $13,255 to $13,500 for room and board.
