Institutional accreditation for Kent State University comes from the Higher Learning Commission. The university most recently reaffirmed its accreditation status during the 2015 to 2016 school year and will undertake reaccreditation in 2024. Kent State University Application Requirements
Kent State University describes its admissions process as selective and grades applications on cumulative grade point averages, standardized test scores, and the curriculum choices a student makes in high school. Tuition and Financial Aid
Tuition for undergraduate programs for Ohio residents is $10,756 and non-residents is $19,458. Students who choose to live on campus will pay $11,362 for room and board, and that amount is the same whether a student is from Ohio or another state. International students are required to pay an additional $4,750 for medical insurance. Graduate students will pay $11,536 for tuition if they’re from Ohio or $21,524 for tuition if they’re from another state. Tuition amounts are based on enrollment of 11 to 18 credit hours per semester for graduate tuition and 12 to 18 credit hours per semester for undergraduate tuition.
Students will receive information on financial aid from the university’s Office of Financial Aid, which is located on the first floor of the library on campus. Kent State University participates in the federal student financial aid program, and students who need financial aid must submit their FAFSA form to qualify.
