There are five degree options for students interested in studying healthcare management at American InterContinental University. Degrees include the Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree with a specialization in healthcare management, the Bachelor of Healthcare Management degree with a specialization in gerontology management, and the Bachelor of Healthcare Management degree with a specialization in health service administration management.

American InterContinental University was established in 1970 and is owned by the Career Education Corporation. The school first operated in Lucerne, Switzerland, and was founded by Helen and Jack Barnette. Originally known as the American Fashion College of Switzerland, the institution gained authorization to award college degrees a year after it was established. The first American campus of the institution was opened in 1976 in Atlanta, Georgia.

Eventually, the school’s Switzerland campus would move to London, England, and administrators would change the school’s name to the American College for the Applied Arts.
