The Master of Health Services Administration (MHSA) degree program is a diverse field of study with a variety of career options upon graduation. The University of Evansville ‘s Master of Science in HSA (MS-HSA) is designed for those individuals who plan to assume management positions in the public and private sectors within healthcare service organizations. The University has an ongoing relationship within the local healthcare and business community for internship placements and graduate students must participate in four internships. Students have a unique opportunity to work within different areas of healthcare to find the best fit for them in choosing future careers. The five-year concurrent Health Services Administration degree program offers students both a Bachelor of Science in Health Science Administration and Master of Science in Health Service Administration (BSHSA/MSHSA). This program allows motivated students to combine the undergraduate program with the graduate program. According to the US Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) individuals graduating with only a BSHSA can enter entry-level healthcare careers as administrative assistants in smaller hospitals, or lower level assistant administrators in larger hospitals and nursing care organizations.
