Department of Health Management and Informatics
Georgia Regents University, a public academic health center located in Augusta Georgia. It is one of the four public research universities that make up the University Systems of Georgia. The school has been known for most of its history as the Medical College of Georgia and it was the stand alone medical college that merged with Augusta State to form Georgia Regents University on January 8, 2013.

- Health Informatics – The MPH program in Health Informatics at Georgia Regents University allows students in the public health sector to become professional managers proficient in the knowledge and skill for disease prevention and the improvement of the delivery of health services, and promotion of population health. The program allows managers to create, assess, and manage information systems to improve healthcare and its delivery. Graduates are prepared to be leaders in health care institutions, public health organizations, the pharmaceutical and information technology industries, and research institutions.
- Health Management – The MPH concentration in Health Management allows core understanding for administration position in the healthcare delivery system. On January 14, 2004 Jiann-Ping Hsu School of Public Health was established as the first School of Public Health in the University System of Georgia. Some of the goals for the College of Public Health include empowerment of rural communities and underserved populations in addressing public health issues, eliminate health disparities and improving health outcomes. Curriculum allows competency in core public health issues to allow development of critical thinking and skills in public health leadership.
Master’s of Healthcare Administration
The Master of Healthcare Administration (MHA) degree allows development of professionals to possess the values, knowledge, and skills to manage within the healthcare delivery system. The forty-five credit hour Master’s program includes eighteen credit hours of core courses with an additional twenty-four credits of Healthcare Administration Courses. Students are also required to complete a three credit hour Managerial Practicum where they will apply the skills learned throughout the program. Upon completion students will be equipped to enter careers as administrators of healthcare services.
Master’s of Public Health
Georgia Southern Universities School of Public Health is educating students with a broad based knowledge of the complexities of health issues to make a difference in their communities and in global health. The Master of Public Health (MPH) program requires a minimum of 45 credit hours and is offered on both a full-and part-time basis. Specialization is available in five areas of focus including: Epidemiology, Environmental Health Sciences, Biostatistics, Health Services Administration, and Community Health Education –Social and Behavioral Sciences. Focusing on scholarship and research in urban health and health disparities, the School of Public Health Goals for the Master’s of Public health program include:

Master of Business Administration: Health Administration Concentration
The Master’s of Business Administration (MBA) with a concentration in health administration is a thirty six to fifty one credit hour program for those working professionals who aspire toward competency in business skills for advancement in their careers. Core business curriculum allows students competency in business law, economics, accounting, leadership, research and statistics, corporate financing and planning and implementation. With an additional concentration of fifteen elective credits in Health Administration, students earn a concentration. In 2013, U.S. News & World Report ranked Robinson’s Flexible MBA (Flex MBA) program thirty-second in the nation. The Flex MBA is a part-time program with the flexibility to take fewer classes depending on scheduling needs and graduation within two to five years.
Master of Science in Health Administration
In addition to the joint MBA/MHA degrees, the Robinson College of Business offers a Master of Science in Health Administration (MSHA) as a single degree program. This program provides the knowledge for the proficiency required for careers in health administration. Graduates will become professionals managing within public health, in hospitals and within other health services organizations.
