Master of Science in Health Administration

Master of Science in Health Informatics Administration

Graduates are prepared to bridge communication gaps between clinical, non-clinical and IT healthcare professionals to address the complex issues raised by Health Care Reform, Electronic Medical Records (EMR), privacy laws, and the electronic exchange of medical information. The College of Health Sciences and Technology

Founded in 1829, the Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) is a private coed university located in Henrietta, New York. RIT is composed of nine academic colleges and is one of the world’s leading technological institutions. The MS in Healthcare Systems Administration (MS-HSA) provides students with a foundation in policy and law, economics in healthcare, finance, insurance reform, information technology, systems, operations and leadership. Course work for the program provides graduates with fundamental knowledge for effective management of healthcare organizations including areas of health insurance, research, finance, economics, process improvement, project management and informatics. The Saunders College of Business

The Saunders College of Business (SCB) is the business school at the Rochester Institute of Technology. SCB offers a traditional MBA programs available in full-time or part-time formats and with most courses available online, students of the MBA program have more flexibility in completing their degrees. Saunders also provides a part-time program with courses on weekday evenings, and an accelerated MBA program allows students to omit some core courses based on experience to complete their MBA in one year. An executive MBA program also is available to allow those busy working professionals to complete their program in as little as 15 months, attending classes on alternating weekends or online. The US News and World Report 2015 edition of Best Colleges noted SCB as the 91st Best Business School.

Master of Business Administration in Health Systems Administration

The Master of Business Administration in Health Systems Administration (MBA-HAS) degree program provides students core coursework for strategic and critical thinking skills that are required to become an effective leader in today’s global economy. Core knowledge in the functional areas of business combined with the flexibility to specialize in one or two areas of expertise allows students exposure to current theories and concepts to have the skills to solve problems in the workplace. The MBA program requires 48 semester credits for completion; with 11 core foundation courses in business that include data analysis and business intelligence, management information systems, innovation in products and services, and social responsibility and ethics. Students can also complete a concentration area by choosing a five-course sequence. An MBA concentration is a sequence courses in one area of study, allowing student the in-depth knowledge in that subject area. The Sages Colleges, founded in 1917, is a private coed institution with 3,000 students enrolled in 71 major areas of study. Sages is comprised of Russell Sage College for Women in Troy, Sage College of Albany in Albany, and the graduate schools of Education, Health Sciences and Management. Master of Science in Health Services Administration

The Master of Science in Health Services Administration (MS-HSA) program prepares students to become health services managers who will meet the varied needs of this continually expanding field. Coursework for the Health Services Administration program prepares students to assume a variety of roles in health services organizations. Core coursework for the program provides management and analytical skills to improve problem solving, human relations and program planning, and analysis capabilities. Graduates of the MS in Health Services Administration degree program are prepared for careers in management in for private and non-profit organizations that can include health and wellness organizations, hospitals, clinics, long term care organizations, or health services. Additional areas of employment opportunities include insurance companies, governmental health agencies, non-profit health organizations, and medical companies. The program requires completion of nine core courses as well as a number of elective courses.

Online Master of Science in Health Service Administration

The School of Management at The Sage Colleges offers a Master of Science in Health Services Administration (MS-HSA) through Russell Sage Online. The school and program are fully accredited by the International Assembly for Collegiate Business Education (IACBE). Founded in 1948, Saint John Fisher College is a private liberal arts college that is located in Pittsford, New York. The college is named after John Fisher, an English Catholic bishop and theologian. The Master of Business Administration in Health Services Management (MBA/HSM) program prepares students with the necessary skills and knowledge for careers in management positions in areas such as accounting, finance, business administration, sales, marketing, human resources and information systems. Outcomes for this MBA program include:

According to the US Bureau of Labor Statistics, Healthcare is the single largest industry in the country, with more than 14 million people employed throughout the field. The healthcare industry is expected to continue to see rapid growth well into the year 2020.
