Brody School of Medicine

East Carolina University, also known as East Carolina, is a public coed research university located in Greeneville, North Carolina. Founded in 1907 as a teacher training school, it is the third-largest university in North Carolina. The university offers more than 100 bachelor’s degree programs, 85 master’s degree programs, 21 doctoral degree program and 62 certificate programs. Medical Doctor/Master of Public Health

The Master of Public Health (MPH) degree program trains students who are concurrently enrolled in professional schools and health professionals seeking the opportunity to pursue training in public health. The MPH degree requires 45 credits for completion and can be completed by medical students by taking MPH course work during a leave of absence between the second and third years of medical school (as well as during summer vacations).
