The Archer College of Health and Human Services

Angelo State University is a public coed university that was founded in 1928 as San Angelo College. The 268-acre main campus is located in San Angelo Texas and it is the second largest campus in the Texas Tech University System with current enrollment more than 5,400 students. Chartered in 1845 by the Congress of the Republic of Texas, Baylor University is a private Baptist university that is located in Waco, Texas. Baylor is the oldest operating university in Texas, and also the largest Baptist university in the world. Master of Business Administration in Healthcare Administration

The Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Health Care Administration is available in an accelerated program (requiring 35 credits of core business coursework, 15 credits of electives and a 3 credit internship) or in a standard format (requiring 12 credits of business foundation courses, 35 credit hours of core classes, 15 credits of electives and a 3 credit internship). Students are not required to have an undergraduate degree in business to apply to the MBA program (Baylor offers students a course in Business Foundations in the summer and fall semesters preparing them for the MBA core curriculum). Additionally students can choose health care administration specialization to customize their specific career objectives. The MBA in health care administration is offered in conjunction with the Robbins Institute for Health Policy and Leadership, which serves as the foundation for all healthcare-related initiatives in the Business School. The MBA in Health Care Administration program also requires student to complete a seven-month paid Executive Residency in a health organization. Graduates of the MBA in Health Care Management are prepared to enter careers in the management of hospitals, nursing facilities, hospice, insurance companies, provider networks and government organizations.

Louise Herrington School of Nursing

Baylor University is the largest Baptist University in the world and the oldest university in Texas. Baylor mission is “providing students with academic excellence while creating an environment that nourishes students spiritually”. Master of Science in Nursing with a concentration in Leadership and Innovation

The curriculum for the Master of Science in Nursing Leadership and Innovation provide students with the skills to develop the professional leadership skills required in providing patient care and critical thinking skills to meet the challenges in nursing. Coursework for the MSN in Leadership and Innovation is provided in a fully online format and can be completed in as little as 14 to 16 months (students complete one course every five weeks with four courses per semester and two per summer). Baylor University

The Army-Baylor Graduate Programs

Baylor University is a private Baptist university located in Waco, Texas and was founded in 1845, making it one of the oldest universities in Texas. The university’s 1,000-acre campus enrolls over 16,000 students study representing all 50 states and 89 foreign countries. The Army-Baylor University Graduate Program in Health Administration started in 1947 as a three-month course in the Department of Administration at the Medical Field Service School (MFSS) at Fort Sam Houston, Texas. Master of Health Administration

The two-year Master of Health Administration program consists of an experiential learning and a residency phase. During the 12-month experiential learning phase at Fort Sam Houston, Army-Baylor students are required completion of 57 credits of graduate coursework toward a Master of Health Administration (MHA). The 12-month administrative residency allows students the opportunity to combine their graduate management and health administration concepts and principles in an applied setting. Resident’s experience many organizational challenges in the marketplace and will complete a variety of projects that allow organizations to run more effectively and efficiently.

Master of Health Administration /Master of Business Administration

Student can apply the work completed in the Master of Health Administration (MHA) program to fulfill requirements for a dual MHA and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree that is offered in conjunction with the Graduate School and the School of Business. The program requires 87 credits for completion. Residency sites available to Baylor students have grown to include some of the leading healthcare facilities in the World including the Mayo Clinic, Johns Hopkins, the Cleveland Clinic, Baptist Health, Kaiser Permanente and various others top level facilities.
