- Community Health Education: Students in the Community Health Education specialization pursue careers in health promotion and education to fulfill leadership roles in planning, management and evaluation of community-based health programs in a variety of settings including hospitals, managed care organizations, health departments, health insurance companies, health centers, senior citizens’ agencies, substance abuse agencies, and others. Available in a part-time format, Students of the program can continue their present employment while completing the 36-42-credit program.
- School Health Education: The School Health Education specialization provides students with a study of the relationships between schools and communities in disease prevention and awareness education of global health issues. Coursework provides advanced preparation for those interested in health education in a school system in educational theory and methods, with a focus on the specific issues related to children and teenagers including drug abuse and family life education.
