The thirty-six credit hour Master of Health Care Leadership degree educates students with coursework in business leadership of a healthcare organization. Leaders in the healthcare industry developed the curriculum with a fundamental basis of all areas of healthcare leadership. Courses include staffing, operating a medical practice, managing information systems and finance in a healthcare organization. Also included in coursework are skills in leadership, law and ethics, marketing, and positively impacting the elements facing healthcare today. The Graduate School at Topeka

The Topeka Center is an off-site extension location of Friends University that provides Topeka and surrounding communities with quality education designed for adult students who desire to complete an accredited degree in a flexible forum. Online Master of Health Care Leadership

The Online Master of Health Care Leadership (MHCL) is a thirty-six credit hour program designed to prepare graduates for executive positions of leadership in the healthcare delivery system. The program allows students a comprehensive knowledge base of the modern healthcare environment and how to be prepared for good decision-making in healthcare organizations. With input from various community healthcare organizations, the program reflects cutting edge trends in all aspects of the health care industry. Also required is a MHCL Capstone Project to provide graduates the savvy and confidence to enter a competitive and constantly changing industry. The MHCL program consists of twelve, three-credit hour courses and can be completed in approximately 24 months.

Grand Canyon University’s Master of Public Administration with an emphasis in Health Care Management (MPA/HCM) prepares students for careers as executive managers in the public sector of today’s healthcare systems. Students in the MPA/HCM program will become competent in the ability to identify and deliver solutions for the challenging issues facing the public sector in the modern healthcare organization. In the United States, Medical and Health Services Managers held about 315,500 jobs in 2012. The Employment of Medical and Health Services Managers is projected to grow more than twenty three percent from 2012 to 2022, much faster than the average for all occupations. Although requirements vary by facility, most medical and health services managers have at least a Bachelor’s Degree before entering the field and often times Master’s Degrees are required for executive level positions.
