Advanced Interdisciplinary Master of Public Health

Dual Degree – Master of Social Work and Master of Public Health

This three-year degree program is designed for students who would like to achieve both an Master of Public Health Degree as well as a Master of Social Work Degree. Applicants who are interested in this program must apply to either The School of Public Health or The School of Social Welfare. Students must hold a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited school, have a grade point average of 3.0 or better and have taken the Graduate Record Exams in the past five years. Alumni of this program have found work in managed care organizations and hospitals, local and state health departments, federal health agencies, voluntary health agencies, community based organizations and advocacy coalitions.

Master of Public Health in Biostatics

The Master of Public Health program in biostatistics prepares students to become proficient in the:

  • Storage, retrieval, analysis and interpretation of health data
  • Design and analysis of health-related surveys and experiments
  • Concepts and practice of statistical data analysis

Students who graduate with this degree will be qualified for positions in all level governmental health departments. Additionally they may choose to work in an academic or research field. Finally, they could work in private practice or the direct healthcare field.

Master of Public Health in Environmental Health Science

The Master of Public Health in Environmental Health Science can be earned in the traditional two-year timeframe or in an accelerated 11-month program.
