Robert Stempel College of Public Health and Social Work

Located in Miami, the Robert Stempel College of Public Health and Social Work at Florida International University is one of the university’s twenty-six unique schools and colleges. Master of Health Services Administration

Administrators who are responsible for managing health services within an environment of constant change need to be educated in the skills enabling them to staff, direct, coordinate and lead within todays ever-changing healthcare organizations. The Master of Health Services Administration (MHSA) provides the necessary theories and
issues of managing within complex organizations, both public and private. Many individuals enrolled are already employed in administrative roles in the healthcare field and this program allows them the flexibility within the program to continue working.
The Master’s Degree program allows full-time students to complete all course work in five semesters or part-time students within three years. With a core curriculum in management, emphasis is on planning and policy functions of any health services administration. Almost all public health studies require the use of bio statistical operations for analysis of data. The MPH program in Biostatistics will train students in theoretical concepts and allow them the ability to apply statistical methods in the field of public health.
