The University of Arkansas is a public research university with the main campus located in Fayetteville Arkansas. The Fay W. Boozman College of Public Health is home to both undergraduate and graduate programs in Public Health and offers a wide range of educational degrees to meet the needs of Arkansas.

Master of Public Health

The Master of Public Health Program at the Fay W. Boozman College of Public Health offers a forty-two hour semester program to allow the students to obtain a Master’s Degree Education in traditional public health specialties. Areas of study include Biostatistics, Environmental and Occupational Health and Health Policy and Management. Specialty tracks also available are Biostatistics and Epidemiology. Public Health differs from other Healthcare programs because of its focus is on large population groups instead of individuals. It promotes health and wellness as a goal and prevention as opposed to a cure.

University of Arkansas

University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences

The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences is part of the University of Arkansas System. In addition to the hospitals and clinics, the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences consists of five separate colleges including one graduate college, eight regional centers and seven institutes education centers. The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences is an academic health center and is home to the only medical school in Arkansas.

Master of Health Service Administration

University of Arkansas for Medical Science is one of only 70 nationally accredited programs in the United States and the only program in Arkansas. The Master of Health Service Administration program requires 51 credit hours with 45 core credit hours and six elective hours. The program can be completed in two years by full time students (12 hours per semester) and three and half years by part time students (6-9 hours per semester). Those graduating from this program can expect to enter careers as administrators in health organizations, institutions and agencies in Healthcare.

Harding University

School of Business

Harding University, named for its founder James A Harding, it is a private Christian University in Searcy, Arkansas about 50 miles northeast of Little Rock. It is associated with the Churches of Christ. The fall semester of 2013 showed enrollment of over 6,000 students including 4,429 undergraduate and 1,808 graduate students. The School of Business allows specific concentration areas in academic business classes taught from a biblical and value-oriented foundation. Courses include issues of ethics, global awareness, technology, written and oral communications with a focus of teamwork to better facilitate future careers in business.

Master of Business Administration with concentration in Healthcare Management

The Master of Health Care Management degree is a 42 credit hour program.
With a total of ten core courses including Finance, Ethics, Legal and Social Issues management, Ethics in the Legal Environment, Marketing Management, Corporate Strategy and Planning, Ethics in Management Skills, Managing People and Organizations. The Concentration for Master of Business Administration then provides students with the option to individualize their MBA program to meet personal career objectives by choosing to take all electives in one area to achieve a concentration for their degree. Those areas are Health Care Management, Information Technology, International Business or Organizational Management.
